¡Hola, clase!
This week you are going to learn how to identify places in your community in Spanish. Click on the “La comunidad (K)” Power Point and the “La comunidad (K)” audio. Practice pronouncing the Spanish vocabulary and singing the “Community Song” with Señora Peace. Then, complete one or more of the following assignments using your community vocabulary. Each activity below counts as a different assignment. Remember you need to complete at least 5 activities for 4th quarter. You can email your assignments to [email protected].
Gracias,
Señora Peace
- Picture This! (p. 43) – Circle the picture that shows the meaning of each word.
- My Neighborhood (p. 44) – Draw a picture of an imaginary neighborhood. Draw places you have learned about in this unit. Add streets, trees, and whatever else you wish to make your neighborhood look nice. Color your picture and label your neighborhood with the words from this unit.
- Places, Please (p. 45) – Color and cut out the pictures that Señora Peace gives you. Glue each picture next to the correct Spanish word on the top portion. Color each block with a letter Y inside to reveal the hidden word on the bottom portion.
- Make your own community flashcards – Using blank paper, make your own Spanish flashcards by drawing pictures of the places in this unit (escuela – school, museo – museum, casa – house, tienda – store, biblioteca – library, and parque – park) and labeling them in Spanish to help you practice your vocabulary.
