Meet Señora Peace...
іHola! I am very excited to be teaching at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School and St. Peter's Lutheran School this school year! I am a shared time Spanish teacher for Berkley School District. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Oakland University with endorsements in Spanish and Language Arts and a M.A. in Reading and Language Arts with a Reading Specialist endorsement.
Over the last nine years, I have found teaching Spanish to be very rewarding. I love to see students enjoy learning about another language and culture. My goal is to provide multiple opportunities for students to develop their language skills through meaningful activities that focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I want my students to be able to engage in conversations, exchange basic information on a variety of topics important in daily life, and demonstrate comprehension of frequently used words and phrases. I will help build their confidence and fluency through oral conversations, hands-on activities, songs, games, and projects.
I live in New Baltimore with my husband Andrew and two children, Liliana and Gavin. I love spending time with my family during my free time. My other hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, dancing, and traveling.
I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. Thank you in advance for your support throughout the year. I look forward to getting to know all of my students and their families this school year!
¡Hasta pronto! (See you soon!)
